Didn't the Pop Go There

Somewhere in Africa, two little kids with cheap saxophones started
playing a little motif that one of the village elders thought sounded
like someone saying ?didn?t the pop go there?. He then called the
other village people to gather around, pick up their instruments
and join in...an attempt to drown out the annoying cacophony
created by these two little kids who obviously had little experience
with cheap saxophones.

Elektro Cave Ritual

I don't know what the muses were thinking when they gave me this one.

Flymore Jazz

Smooth jazz for the rest of us...well the strange ones at least.

Funkmeister

The Funkmeister stirs his cauldron of thick electronic guitar spiced
funk stew. That's me attempting to play crappy guitar...well, it
isn't the guitar that's crappy...

Lizard Dance

On Halloween night, Frank Zappa, the Addams Family and an
uncharacteristically mellow Cecil Taylor have a jam session in the
Sonoran Desert while lizards dance at their feet.

Hypnopompic Visions

The hypnopompic state is the transition state of semiconsciousness
between sleeping and waking. For some people, this is a time of visual
and auditory hallucination, for me that seems to be where my
reality exists.

Laughing Buddha, Dancing Man

Marsh Monkey

A marsh monkey walks into a bar to the nasty sounds of distorto-hammond
funky bluesy soul jazz and says to the bartender, ?Give me a Kool
Aid.? The bartender takes one good look at the marsh monkey and
gives him a Kool Aid...black cherry...no joke.
I wrote this when I was eighteen years old. Back then I called it
"Manny Marshmallow", but changed the name to "Marsh Monkey" (which
I think sounds way more cool) when I updated the tune a couple
of years ago.

Soul Mate

For Ella...I wish the song could be better.

Star Face

Perfect Pitch

A friend of mine, who is a damn good sax player told me the following
joke: Q: What is the definition of perfect pitch? A: When you
throw a banjo into a dumpster and it hits an accordion. That joke
inspired me to write this, which isn't really in my usual "style" if I
do indeed have one.

Sage

Walking with Miles

Miles is an elderly gentleman of a black lab. He likes to walk.

Unwrapped

Tulip Test

Here is an experiment with samples composed mostly in "Acid" and
finished off with "Cakewalk Sonar". The song is made almost entirely
of samples except for the "fretless bass" and "electric piano"
solo in the middle section.
